Trumpsters and Ted Nugent don’t MATTER. What does matter? Losing a celebrity soldier by her own hand. By L.N.

I am going to write this article, then I am DONE with this topic. (No more discussing, reading or writing about it.) I have decided to pen a piece on it because it does hit a bit close to home for me personally. I used to be a stand up comic in the early 2000’s and even performed at some of the clubs that Kathy Griffin did at the time. This was her rise to fame, and although her and my comedy are not similar, I, along with many other funny women, were happy for her advancement, and served as her anonymous cheerleaders.  I left the business (and L.A.) in the mid 2000s after the birth of my first child. And from then till now, I have seen many things from Ms. Griffin, and continued to feel pride for her. Then Tuesday happened.

Immediately, my emotion appeared to be anger. I went on and on to anyone who would listen how “stupid” it was. I continued to be bombarded with the images of Obama Effigys being hung, burned, and worse along with re caps of Ted Nugent’s threats to Obama during his term, with these, came statements that if I was not outraged by these things, but am by Griffin’s action, I am a hypocrite. So, it got me to do a bit of self reflection.  I asked myself if I was a hypocrite, if I was outraged by the image, or was it something else? My conclusion was that I am not angry or outraged or even upset by the image. I am disappointed. (Being a mother to four kids, I am becoming increasingly faster at pinpointing my emotions). My disappointment comes from watching someone who has more power than many (because of celebrity, no matter what level) get so immersed in anger and resentment (that MOST of us feel) choose to make a impulsive, and very poor decision for an initial shock reaction instead of harnessing that anger and resentment into a powerful tool of communication to help lead and motivate people without power to rise up, to make a real difference.  Being a former comedian myself, I could have seen this outcome way before the actual deed was done. Why couldn’t she? My only conclusion is that she was so blinded by her fury, that her impulsive mind overcame her rational, thoughtful mind. And this is unfortunate because this is precisely the problem that D.T. suffers from himself, he is totally controlled by his impulsive mind, and probably does not even have the capacity for rational thought anymore. And yes, it has worked for him, helping his base to support him even more unconditionally. The difference with what Ms. Griffin did is this: The people who support Trump by in large are uneducated, toxic, and in many cases, NOBODY in terms of being in public radar or shaping public policies. (Including Ted Nugent. Hell, especially Ted Nugent.) When these people do or say hateful things, most people don’t pay attention, or simply roll their eyes, and move on with their day. But when someone well spoken and intelligent who is also a CELEBRITY does it, all other intelligent people mourn out of the innate knowledge that we just lost someone that could have helped us. And this is disappointing.

I am saddened because I have seen how many ways her action HELPED the Trump administration. Trump himself now has sympathy from many who last week wouldn’t have pissed on him if he was on fire due to a natural human instinct to recoil and be disgusted by brutal images. This is the LAST thing we should be giving him. Plus, the administration is using her action to 1. Exploit and harm the resistance. They are already are trying to make ties between Kathy Griffin and Democratic candidates (and it is having some effect- they are losing poll numbers since Tuesday) and 2. Distract attention away from: Russiagate, oppressive/atrocious policies being put into place, and the continued pilfering of money, power and influence away from lower class by the GOP We continue to unknowingly let these corporations and their cronies harm us, and that is sad. So when one of us applies their own “kick me” sign, it is TRAGIC.

I see it like this- If Rosie O’Donnell wouldn’t do it (a woman who Trump has tried to ruin for YEARS.) then it is NOT a good idea.

And what did Kathy Griffin get? A ruined career, and years of work and accomplishments washed away in an instant. She could have been a war hero. Instead, she was a suicide bomber.

Is Trutin’s Bromance in trouble? Not a chance! By L.N.

Many people in the know can prove that Donald Trump’s relationship with Russia spans back all the way to the 1980’s (Possibly to the 70’s) and so it could have been much earlier that he became enchanted by Vladimir Putin. But for purposes of this story, below is a timeline of the public bromance of Vladimir Putin and Donald J. Trump, which proves that not only is their relationship stronger than ever, but all “trouble in the waters” tabloid level stories are simply a distraction to what is going on behind closed office doors…

  •  2013 A simple tweet by D.T. in regards to Putin “being his new best friend”. BBF Tweet
  • 2013 Trump is interviewed by MSNBC and states “I do have a relationship and I can tell you that he’s very interested in what we’re doing here today. He’s probably very interested in what you and I are saying today, and I’m sure he’s going to be seeing it in some form.” Interview
  • 2014 Trump speaks at Conservative Political Action Conference, where he states, “You know, I was in Moscow a couple months ago, I own the Miss Universe pageant, and they treated me so great. Putin even sent me a present, beautiful present, with a beautiful note. I spoke to all of his people. And, you know, you look at what he’s doing with President Obama. He’s, like, toying with him. He’s toying with him.”CPAC Speech 2014
  • 2014 Speaking at the National press club Trump again states “I was in Russia, I was in Moscow recently. And I spoke indirectly — and directly — with President Putin, who could not have been nicer.” NPC 2014
  • 2015 Trump mentions Syria in regards to Russia and him being on same “60 minutes” episode as Putin, (but did not state that they did not appear together and were interviewed in different locations and times) Saying “But, as far as the Ukraine is concerned, and you could Syria — as far as Syria, I like — if Putin wants to go in, and I got to know him very well because we were both on ‘60 Minutes,’ we were stablemates, and we did very well that night. But, you know that.”
  • 2016 In July, in an attempt to divert attention away from his “relationship” with Putin, as many view as a tyrant, Trump states “I never met Putin, I don’t know who Putin is. He said one nice thing about me. He said I’m a genius. I said thank you very much to the newspaper and that was the end of it. I never met Putin.”  7/16
  • 2016 In an appearance on ABC’s “this week” Donald Trump tells interviewer that he has “No relationship with Putin Whatsoever.”  ABC “this week”
  • 2016 In second national debate, Hillary Clinton accuses Trump of coordinating with Russia for interference in the election to which he replies, “I don’t know Putin. I think it would be great if we got along with Russia because we could fight ISIS together, as an example. But I don’t know Putin.” Debate
  • 2017 In February, Trump came out with the following tweet, “I don’t know Putin, have no deals in Russia, and the haters are going crazy – yet Obama can make a deal with Iran, #1 in terror, no problem!” Even though the previous month, there was photographic evidence and white house verification that he had spoken with Putin over the phone. (But no recording and was private conversation-not typical in leader to leader conversations.) 2/17 tweet
  • 2017 January AG Sally Yates is fired by Trump for not defending travel ban, (but also warned Trump and Pence of Micheal Flynn’s connections with Russia and his lack of transparency coincidentally) AG fired
  • 2017 February 14 (Valentine’s day, no less)  National Security Advisor Micheal Flynn is forced to resign over Russia connections and not disclosing several meetings with Russian diplomats and Putin. NSA Flynn Resigns
  • 2017 March Roger Stone is hit by a car that speeds away,  after he has told others that he had been poisoned in late 2016 with the same chemical used to kill a defected ex KGB spy and outspoken critic of Putin, Alexander Litvinenko in 2006. (who claimed before his death that it was the doing of Putin).
  • 2017 March Trump continues his unsubstantiated claims of Obama wiretapping him, and after a short investigation, FBI director James Comey admits that there is no evidence to support.
  • 2017 March 30  Since Trumps election, 8 Russian politicians, activist, ambassadors all with ties to the Trump/Russia investigations have been found dead, some of obvious homicide. Clinton Watts, senior fellow at George Washington University’s Center for Cyber and Homeland Security and former FBI agent, testifies that the committee should follow the money funding misinformation websites. Watts then adds a more ominous suggestion: “Follow the trail of dead Russians,” he says.
  • 2017 March 31 Micheal Flynn asks to testify about Trump and Russia in exchange for immunity. A move that is usually only made when there is serious guilt on all parties involved.
  • 2017 April 3 Serious and deadly chemical attack in rebel held Idlib province in northern Syria. Claiming the lives of 86-100 people mostly civilians, women and children. Wide criticism of Trump who chose to not place sanctions on leader Assad, a known Russian and Putin ally.  Trump administration is quick to condemn the attack, not going into details of actions to be taken. (But Syrians are still not allowed to travel to US for Asylum)
  • 2017 April 6 Trump, without the okay of congress, launches an airstrike on Syria. Russia was warned ahead of time, and it is reported that the airfield where the attack happened moved personnel to safety as well. (Most likely, they were warned by Russia)
  • 2017 April 7 Russia condemns US attack, and makes moves to push back. (Which shows Americans that there is in fact NOT a Russia/US or Putin/Trump connection, and that the honeymoon is definitely OVER right? Wink, Wink)

Is it just me or does this seem like an elaborate set up to distract us, and keep us in fear? That way, the “deals” and secret affair between Putin and Trump can go on away from the public’s prying eyes.  Otherwise, if it was really and truly OVER, wouldn’t both parties be airing the scandalous details PUBLICLY, like in any celebrity divorce? OF. COURSE. THEY. WOULD.  Don’t fall for it, world. This lover’s spat is just for show.

What about RUSSIA? by L.N.

“Administration starts deportation campaign by tearing 22 year resident mother from her crying children and sending her back to Mexico” , “Trump vs. Nordstrom: Press secretary Spicer uses press conference to insult retailer”, “Trump does not even know how the dollar works”, “CNN catches Trump administration in ANOTHER lie”, “Bannon wants to start WWIII”.  These are headlines from TODAY. If someone searches before today, there are more just like these, with only slight differences in outrage topics. Thousands more. And what do they all represent? DISTRACTION. The Trump administration is attempting to outdo the most famous magicians, to make them look like hacks, by performing the greatest magic act the world has ever seen- and it is going VERY well. What is this trick? Why, I am glad you asked! It is called “Make Russia disappear!”

You see, the people who are now calling all the shots in D.C. (Trump is NOT one of them, although he thinks he is) learned one thing a long, long time ago. And that is that a majority of people in our country are easily led (as long as it is by someone with confidence and conviction, doesn’t matter if the leaders are being honest about the destination) and even more easily distracted. Technology has not helped in this regard. Think about this: when the newest iphone or Samsung galaxy whatever is released, how many people just have to have it? Never mind that their current phone works great, and is only a year or so old, they! I am not suggesting that there is anything wrong with supporting new technology, or even “treating” oneself to something nice from time to time, (although I think that “time to time” has become more like “all the time” for many) but rather this- when we become distracted by things that are not really IMPORTANT often, we lose sight of what is, and often we don’t realize the important thing was taken until it is gone. This, I believe is how our democracy works. Right now, it is actually obvious that it is very threatened,  and people are scrambling to figure out what to do about it. Add in a steady stream of horrible, immoral acts being committed daily (nearly hourly) by the current administration, and what does that do to even the most dedicated human rights advocate? Well, it creates three things. 1.Overwhelm. Feeling unable to keep up with what is going on fast enough, and the urge to just “tune out” completely. 2. Confusion. What is going on? What are they doing? Why is this happening? What do we do? and finally, 3. Distraction. With every new headline, we become more and more lost, as if we have cut a path to make our way out of the forest, only to find a new, more dense one at the end. All of these things play right into what they are trying to do, which is EVADE.

You may be asking yourself, “what are they trying to evade?”  Again, I am glad you asked! Remember right after the election when no person could even look at a news headline without seeing the word RUSSIA or PUTIN in it? (Breitbart or FOX news being the exception to this) It was crazy, and they could feel the heat being put on. This was followed by one after another terrible announcements about cabinet picks (distracting us from RUSSIA/PUTIN) then, Trump amped up his twittering mania (I didn’t think it was possible either…) and everything (including Alec Baldwin’s uncanny impression of him on SNL) became a “outrage”, “unacceptable”, and a “personal insult” to Trump. Fast forward to after the inauguration. Headlines were everywhere involving Trump’s insistence on there having been “yuuuuge” crowds in attendance, despite photographic evidence to the contrary. And how much it bothered  him that the women’s march had such historic crowds. And the most useless headline of all, regarding Melania Trump’s gift to Michelle Obama. What was it? Why was she so unhappy? Does she need help? (Here’s my answer to those questions, WHO CARES?)

Since then, the headlines keep coming. And yes, they appear to be getting more serious, scary, and concerning in nature. (Alternative Facts, anyone?)  But they are still achieving  one thing, and that is distracting us. When’s the last time you read about RUSSIA? PUTIN? (Not counting unrecorded phone calls between him and Trump. Because we don’t know what was said, they don’t really matter.) When people are ALL outraged, we can do great things. But when we are all outraged about different topics (Bannon on NSC,  Betsy DeVos for DOE, Sessions for AG, Silencing of Elizabeth Warren (hey, this one pissed me off too!)) our cause becomes vulnerable to those three things that are working so well for this administration. Overwhelm, confusion, and distraction ensue and we are once again caught in a vicious cycle, and they get what they needed gone to disappear. And the burying gets done by us.

With all of the outlandish, offensive, dishonest and unethical behavior of this administration (regime) any aware person can see that they are trying to hide something. And from the looks of it, it is something BEYOND bad. Like makes-watergate-look-like-a-parking-ticket terrible. And the odds are about 99-1 that it can bring down not just Trump, but ALL OF THEM, and could have national (possible global) effects. And when we take a hard look at the subjects getting the least press coverage right now, (as well as not being mentioned AT ALL by the administration) my money is on RUSSIA and PUTIN.

We all need to put our outrage on back burners right now, (This is very challenging. I too, suffer with Attention Deficit Disorder-really! I’ve been diagnosed and everything! And I know it seems important, but it is not as important as this) and focus on one question: “What about RUSSIA?” When we find out the answer to this, everything else will fall into place.

Brainwashed: Today’s administration and the use of NLP by L.N.

Everyone I know is asking the same questions. Everyday. Every hour. On a cycle, or an endless treadmill that leads to nowhere. Questions like “What on earth are they doing?” and “How could they be so callous, so cruel?” and “Why is NOBODY doing anything about this?”  I have been observing these questions, in my Facebook feed, on the news sites I read, and of course, while living life in my community and in my world.

On the other side, I also see repetitive statements being made. (Notice they are STATEMENTS and not questions-I’ll come back to this in a minute.) Time and time again, I see men (and a few women-who I believe are self loathing, but that is another article) repeat the words “Fake News”, “Alternate Facts”, “Radical Islam”, “Extreme Vetting” and “What the people want”.  Over and over again, just out of different mouths, these and other words being repeated.  I ponder these things, both the repeated questions and the statements. I analyze them with growing curiosity. The questions I ask myself “What are they doing?” and “Why is NOBODY (who has the power to do so) doing anything?” and for the statements I ask myself, “Why do they keep spreading lies? Doesn’t everyone know that they are being lied to, even the people speaking them?”  After this questioning, I then analyzed something most don’t. MYSELF. Tuning into what is inside by then asking, “How do I feel when I ask these questions? How do I feel when I see others make these statements and ask those questions?”  And the answer was always the same: Negative.

Now, let me explain a little about my personal background. I am a clinical hypnotherapist that specializes in stress, anxiety and PTSD. I also practice NLP or Neuro Linguistic Programming in both my group sessions and private practice.  NLP is a set of tools that can be used to reprogram the negative thought patterns (i.e. I’m not good enough, smart enough etc…) and negative habits (smoking, drinking, raging, etc..) through repetition and relaxation. (Which is where it relates to hypnotherapy). It has applications that can be done in less than 10 minutes and can literally change the way a person thinks, acts and behaves.  NLP can also be used for entertainment, and is one of the tools used by  “stage” hypnotists. There are several videos on YouTube proving the entertainment value of NLP, Including one in which a NLP practitioner convinces a woman that the color red is actually black, so when she goes to her red car, she freaks out, because she sees it as black. Or another in which the practitioner asks passers by on the street to put a hand on a building and then convinces them that their hand is “stuck” and they can’t take it off  until he performs another NLP to remove it. NLP is nothing new, and many people use it everyday without even realizing it. When we need to remember a speech for a meeting at work, or an important associate’s name, what do we do? We REPEAT it. Over and over, until it is a permanent resident of our brains. Sound familiar?  NLP is a terrific thing, and can make many valuable improvements to a person’s life. But, in the wrong hands, and applied to people with a general sense of dread and fear, it can be used to brainwash the masses.

Remember when I noted that one group has questions while the other makes statements? I pointed this out because there is a large contrast between the two, and can be the difference between being victim or aggressor. Not that there is anything wrong with asking questions, however, when we repeatedly ask the same questions, without receiving answers, we are doing so out of helplessness, and confusion. Which in turn, can leave us vulnerable to answers that are filled with inaccuracies, hidden motives and/or malice in order to get us to change our positions. (Look what happened with the historically democratic blue collar  working class of America? After impassioned pleas to the Democratic party were ignored, it was the GOP that gave them answers and caused them to DRASTICALLY change position, which is a big part of why Republicans now have so much control.)  On the other side of the coin, statements that are repeated over and over again, and from several different individuals who are getting media attention, are made (or appear to be) out of strength and confidence by self-assured speakers. Whether the statements are true or fabricated has no consequence. All that matters is that they are repeated as much as possible, in order to reprogram the minds of all the question askers. History has proven that repetition and confidence are the keys to any successful fascist regime, not truth and humanity. So the more questions, the more confusion. And the more statements, the more assurance. All that is needed is to create doubt in the minds of the masses, and then everything else falls into place for evil doers.

I see how this is working so well for the current administration. We keep getting shocked daily by their actions, and yet, they go through with them without ever so much as batting an eye. This, I believe, is where we are getting defeated. The time has come where we stop being shocked by all the atrocities being committed by them, where we accept that they can and will keep committing them- because it is what works, where we stop asking questions and start making true and repetitive statements of our own.Yes, the time to be fearful is done, and the time to be confident is now.  The tide will only turn when we do things differently, reprogram our own thinking and behaviors and do what works. NLP works for them, and WILL work for us. We just have to use it.
